Venue

Headquartered in Shanghai, China. Field trips to temples, the countryside, government agencies, Nanjing, Chinese companies and factories, media, traditional Chinese clinics, museums, acrobatic show, a river cruise, Pelang Opera, Chinese talent show.

Living Arrangements

Students live in locally rented apartments, host family homes. Quarters are shared with host institution students. Meals are taken on one's own, with host family, in residences, in central dining facility, in restaurants.

Requirements

Minimum age 18; open to sophomores, juniors, seniors; course work in Chinese area studies course recommended; 2.75 GPA; 1 letter of recommendation; good academic standing at home school; if more than 1 semester of Mandarin Chinese, evaluation should be from a language professor; 1 year of college course work in Mandarin Chinese.
