Academic Focus

Costa Rican studies, environmental science/studies, journalism, Spanish language and literature, tourism and travel.

Session

Course starts every Monday, year round.

Venue

Headquartered in Playa Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Field trips to Monte Verde National Park, Arenal Volcano, volunteering; optional travel to Montezuma surf trip, Tortuguero Park, Granada, Nicaragua, Rincon de Vieja National Park at an extra cost.

Living Arrangements

Students live in host institution dormitories, host family homes. Quarters are shared with host institution students. Meals are taken as a group, with host family, in residences, in central dining facility.

Requirements

Minimum age 16; open to precollege students, freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, adults; no foreign language proficiency required.
